There are three (3) classifications for membership in this Association:
(1) Active
(2) Associate
(3) Honorary
Active Members: of this Association are sworn "Illinois State Police officers"
Associate Members: are any "certified police officers, persons, organizations, and corporations."
Honorary Members: are those "persons approved
by the Board of Directors."
Application for Membership: All applicants for membership must
submit an application and payment to the Treasurer, who will submit
the original application and receipt of payment to the Secretary of
the Association. The application is then forwarded to the Board of
Directors for approval.
Membership Benefits: Participation in various workshops and
seminars that are sponsored by the association to provide information
that is vital to the membership and the community. A quarterly
newsletter is published for all members. Members are afforded an
opportunity to network with state troopers from other states during
the annual national conference. Employment opportunities in state
government. Sharing of ideas, information and identifying problems
and providing solutions. Interaction with community organizations.
Dues: Membership dues for active and associate members are
$75.00.
